Everything about Kagami, in plain steps.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or macOS on Apple Silicon or Intel.
- An iPhone. 120 FPS needs a ProMotion display (Pro models from iPhone 13 Pro onward).
- For USB: a data cable (Lightning or USB-C). For Wi-Fi: the iPhone and computer on the same network.
Install and first launch
- Download the installer for your system from the Download page.
- Windows: if SmartScreen appears, click "More info", then "Run anyway".
- macOS: if the app is blocked, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click "Open Anyway".
- These warnings appear because our signing certificates are still being issued. Each release has a public VirusTotal report.
Mirror over USB
- Connect the iPhone with a cable and unlock it.
- Tap "Trust" on the iPhone when asked.
- Open Kagami and choose your iPhone from the device list.
Mirror over Wi-Fi
- Put the iPhone and computer on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Kagami and choose your iPhone under "Wireless".
- For the lowest delay, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi and stay near the router.
Record
- Click the record button or press the shortcut shown in the app.
- Recordings are saved on your computer at the quality you see.
- Free plan: recordings stop at 2 minutes and carry a watermark.
License, devices and refunds
- One license covers two computers, one active at a time. Opening Kagami on a second computer signs out the first.
- You can swap a computer out once every 30 days from your dashboard.
- Every plan has a 7-day refund. Refunds revoke the license; Founders refunds give up the founder number and badge.
Waitlist and creator codes
- Join the waitlist from the Waitlist page. Your email is optional.
- If you arrived through a creator’s link or code, you sign in with Google first. That links you to the creator, so they’re paid when you buy.
- The first creator you join through stays linked to you. Joining again through another creator doesn’t change it.
Founders 100
- Founders opens on launch day for the first 100 buyers worldwide: 18 months of Pro, a founder number and badge, and a spot on the Wall of Founders.
- At checkout your spot is held for 3 minutes. Numbers go in the order payments complete; if all 100 are taken before your payment completes, you get a full refund.
- Edit your name, two links, bio and photo any time from your dashboard, and download your share card there.
For creators
- Apply on the Partners page while signed in. We check every channel by hand.
- Approved partners get a link, a short code and a dashboard with clicks, sign-ups, sales, earnings and payouts.
- Commission is 20% on sales 1–100, 25% on 101–200 and 30% after that, on each customer’s first purchase, after its 7-day refund window.
Referrals
- Pro users get a referral link in their dashboard.
- When a friend buys through it, you both get 2 extra months, added to your current plan.
- Months are added after the friend’s 7-day refund window ends.
